Smithdon High School

Headteacher's Welcome

At Smithdon High School we are committed to providing the best education and encourage each student to be the best they can be. We are a school of 630 students and 85 staff. Its size makes it a true community where it is possible to look after and meet the needs of each and every individual.

We are very fortunate to be in the wider professional family of the West Norfolk Academies Trust, allowing us to take advantage of the professional support and educational expertise on offer.

As well as providing the core curriculum at Smithdon, we also have a growing array of extracurricular activities and programmes to meet every interest and develop any passion. We are particularly proud of our Duke of Edinburgh Award programme, which is very successful year on year.

We expect all students to work hard and be kind, whilst being committed to their own learning and progress. Smithdon also demands high standards of behaviour and uniform to allow effective learning to take place.

We are immensely proud of Smithdon. It is a great place to work and study and all that we do is designed to aspire to the excellence we know we can achieve.
